I am a week behind om my email, so hopefully v1.73;GPL will have been released by now. But since Michael has already released Arachne under GPL, and is no longer involved with Arachne, why do you (Glenn) need his permission? If you really think you need his permission to release v1.73;GPL, remember that silence gives consent, and you need not wait more than a very few days. Otherwise, waiting to hear anything from Michael could be like waiting for heaven to freeze over, for hell to freeze over, or for Michael to fix the unsubscribe function.
No... Michael is the founder and developer. Most of the code is copyright by him!! And before offer a program opensource, every developer will/want
change some things (clean the code etc. etc.). If other people do this (or in our case Glenn) he MUST have the permission of the author.
(This is the idea of opensource too).
Glenn should wait. And if he has the permission, then i would also thought about another mailing list, with more futures and less bugs!
bye, flox
PS: Thank you Glenn! You help the opensource (free-) DOS scene a lot!
