Maybe it might help if I send you the full transcript of a FTP-session?
One way only, what the server sends out to me.
This laptop I use for spying has just one RS232 port and for a full two
way transcript I need two ports, one for RX and one for TX.
The transcript is abt 200Kb.

Spyong software "RS232 tester" is also available...
