I have recently installed linux (Red Hat 5.2) on a completely separate HD and have that installed in a tray that I can swap out with other OSes and not worry about Windoze screwing up files that it has no right to.
When I power up, the computer will look to the CD-ROM for boot and then the FD, but not the HD and instruct me to put a bootable disk in the FD. (The CMOS is set to look at CD/FD/HD for boot in that order.) Doing the 3-finger salute, linux will then boot from the HD. Any ideas? Roger Turk Tucson, Aridzona
