I have just now compiled a 'new option' into core.exe

We now have the option to "IgnoreBaseHref".

I'm sorry to say that I mistakenly deleted the email which
pointed me in the direction of adding this option. :(

So I can't remember now who was having the problems outlined below.
Whoever it was will most likely make their presence know when they
get a copy of this message via that mailing list. ;-)

Be that as it may....

The problem exists at http://www.the-underdogs.org/
(and perhaps at other sites we don't know about yet)

The way in which Arachne handles the <base href=".....> tag
was preventing us from downloading any of their files.

By enabling "IgnoreBaseHref" we can now download
anything we need from 'The Underdogs'.

This new option can be enabled and disabled on the newly modified
'Options/Internet Options' setup page.

note:
Core.exe will default to "No" on this option if the
line 'IgnoreBaseHref Yes' is not found in Arachne.cfg

note #2:

One known problem exists.

Since Insight.exe places uses this tag to reference us back to the
correct file.... ignoring it prevents the correct "To" address from being
placed into any reply or resend.

Therefore,
IgnoreBaseHref must be disabled before attempting to reply to any
message in the inbox and before attempting to modify any that are
in the outbox.

____________

Now for the most important part......

Michael,
May I have your permission to distribute this new compile
of core.exe to anyone who might want to 'Beta test' ?

Since it was compiled with NOKEY.PRJ it is 'freeware'.
(all 'features' are enabled and it is ARACHNE.KEY 'unaware')

Since I am using it right now, the mailer line of this email shows....
"X-Mailer Arachne V1.73;GPL"
