So I've read through the thread several times. The only way your proposal makes sense to me is if there's an implicit assumption that there will (eventually) be infrastructure on opensolaris.org that can take advantage of having the mailing lists organized by role. Is that the plan? Or do you expect to get value from the role-based lists with the current infrastructure (plus fixes for the cross-posting/bcc/moderation issues)?
