Garrett:

I think that there was some miscommunication. On February 3rd Mark
Carlson sent out an email where he said:

My account appeared in the list provided, so I assumed that I was
already a Core Contributor and asked Mark to renew my Core Contributor
grant. However, after double checking, I was only previously a
Contributor and not a Core Contributor.

So, I agree with Garrett. I would like for only my Contributor grant
in the ARC community to be renewed and I agree that it does not make
sense for me to be a voting Core Contributor in the ARC community since
I am not a full LSARC member.

Thank you for the kind words. I was invited to be an LSARC member
earlier this year. However, I declined because I am also serving on
the GNOME Foundation board of directors and am acting as their
secretary. There are only so many volunteer projects a person can
focus on effectively.

Also, for the record, I am already a Core Contributor for the
OpenSolaris Desktop community.

I am only seeking that my Contributor grant be renewed. Apologies for
the confusion.
