That's a daft a reason as suggesting the Mac OS version should be a fork, and the Windows one another. Different hardware configurations can be emulated, with different support for particular OSes thrown in, from one software base. The only reason for a fork in arcem I can see would be a political one, and it would be to the detriment of all. People will scratch their own itches. I'm all for development on arcem, in any direction.
