Good news is the arcem-devel list has 25 subscribers now.  Bad news is
the off-list emails were circulating around about four of us so more
than half missed out

Yes, sorry, I didn't see it could be taken that way.

There's definitely a point to the list.  There's been no off-list email
past me for months until a couple of days ago when someone asked "can
one of you two or three fix these file permissions".  That snowballed
into three or four emails where others were covering recent progress.
That's when I stepped in and said "use the list".  So it's no intended
snub from what I can see, just an accident and an initial attempt not to
disturb everyone with a triviality.

There's an arcem-cvs list, but I see you're on that.  I'd recommend it
to others, it's pretty low volume  ;-)  I think the people putting in
the current effort aren't telling anyone about it much, just plodding
away with comments describing the changes going into CVS.  I guess the
fact two of them are brothers(?) may mean they have off-list chats in
Real Life(TM).
