I had tried to remove the ~/.kde folder and removing kde "pacman -Rd"
and install kde again. but didn't work...
I even found an older version of kde online but that didn't even give
me kcontrol, menu and opening items didn't work either.... so I
uninstalled it, re-installed qt, arts and kde, I went back into kde
and it finally worked!
