There was a discussion about this. Either on one of the lists, or in the forums, I don't remember. It doesn't matter much anyway now. For some reason, the package is not in the db of the testing repo. But the package is on the FTP, you have to download it by yourself from: ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686/libnotify-0.2.1-1.pkg.tar.gz Then install it with pacman -A. Good luck!
