To be fair, the other threads were of the "we should add this to Arch" variety, and regarded something that would either a) require a lot of development work, b) was against the Arch mission, and/or c) was a personal itch that it shouldn't be assumed everybody needs or wants. IMO, the *ADDING* of the Arch artwork to KDE a) required development work, b) was against the Arch mission, and c) was a personal itch that it shouldn't be assumed everybody needs or wants. A discussion of removing it then would seem to me to be a quite different thing than the other issues. That said, my apologies if my comments came across as just more complaining. (Part of that is, I think, that I had the bad timing of making my posts at a time when some of these other threads were going on, which lumps me in with them.) I generally am not a complainer around here, and don't intend to be in the future. If you look back, I think you'll see that my participation here is generally to either ask or answer questions. The KDE issue is just a peeve of mine (and as I said before, a small one) so it's something I comment on on the rare occasions when it comes up.
