Hi Judd, yours didn't work. i don't know what i needed to change in it to make it work for me. i really didn't have much time to go thru it all. anyways after using that script i couldn't boot anymore. i booted with the live cd mounted the harddrive and moved my backup copy backin, but this time commented out the LOCAL in the new rc.conf. now everything works fine. thanks anyways.
