I had the man mouse one, which also resolved manually. 

One irritation which I haven't quite figured out--most terminals, (rxvt,
aterm, mlterm urxvt) are giving me problems, all with slightly different
error messages--one couldn't open screen_open, one couldn't set
background and foreground colors--hrrm, that might have been two of
them.

(I won't get a chance to really play with this for a few days, which is
why I'm giving such vague error reports--once I get a chance to really
examine things, hopefully, I'll have  a better idea of what's happening,
I'm just mentioning this in passing.)

However, in general, yes, it seems faster, things seem clearer, etc.
All totally subjective of course.
