Hi, those cameras that support USB Mass Storage should work fine with the latest udev, hotplug is not needed. This is my case, it works fine. After plugging it into USB and selecting PC in its menu, a dialog appears in KDE and i can see the cameras content. I didnt need to install programs like gtkcam.
