I had wireless networking running on my laptop back when I was running
Arch V. 7.0. It doesn't seem to be working under 7.1. I
went back and re-installed 7.0 and couldn't get it to work with that
either. That strongly suggests to me that there is something that
I did when I set this thing up originally that I'm forgetting to do
now. Here I think is the big clue. When I cat
/proc/net/wireless the values for link, level, and noise are all
zero. My recollection is that these had numeric values when I had
this working. Also, the interface is now wlan0. My
recollection is that previously it was eth2. I don't think that's
significant.
There's probably a lot of additional info I could give; but, my thought
is that this thing is not going to work until I start seeing some
numeric values for link, level, and noise. Could someone please
confirm that for me and if you have any suggestions as to what I might
have forgotten, I'd love to hear them. Thanks for any input.
