I also updated today and ran into some problems. Everything was fine here with
the old testing
packages, but the new ones from current give me trouble with xdm. I can start
xdm and log in, but
after the login X quits immediately and xdm shows up again. I corrected two
wrong paths in
/etc/X11/xdm/ (two files still had /usr/X11R6) but it still doesn't work. I
don't get any useful
messages in the syslog or .xsession-errors so far.
The only thing I noticed was that after a login-attempt, I had the files
.Xauthority-{n,c,l} in my
$HOME.
X still works fine with startx.
IMO, it would have been better to update the packages in testing first, then
move them to current
after another week of testing.
