For the keymaps problem: It is caused by xkeyboard-config installing the
files in /usr/share/X11/xkb while setxkbmap looks for them in
/usr/lib/X11/xkb. I created a symlink and it works. Also, some keymaps
changed name. For example, the French Canadian keyboard was ca_enhanced on
xorg 6.8. Now on xorg7, it's ca(fr). My synaptics touchpad works.
