Thanks! that worked :D
Wain told the same thing yesterday, & I was going to give that a try  
anyway.
As I installed _initscripts-bootsplash 0.7-1_ before getting into this  
situation, I installed initscripts-0.7.1-24 & everything went back to  
normal.
Still, how weird !!!

I was preparing myself to buy a new HDD but the smallest & slowest 2"5  
costs no less than ~60€ [cough!]

Back to normal life for now :)

Et puis Linux, c'est bien sympa, mais la personne qui pleure quand ce
