There are two ways. 1) Use the kernels implementation -- swsusp. It is very buggy, and does not work for most of the users. 2) The solution that I recomend -- suspend2. It is distributed as patches to the kernel. It is available in the beyond patchset, and the package of beyond kenrel in the repo.
