There are two ways.

1) Use the kernels implementation -- swsusp. It is very buggy, and
does not work for most of the users.

2) The solution that I recomend -- suspend2. It is distributed as
patches to the kernel. It is available in the beyond patchset, and the
package of beyond kenrel in the repo. Read the wiki on suspend2.net
and the howto, to get started, and if you have further questions, feel
free to ask here :)
