I could install maple without such problems, in fact without any problems at all. What version do
you have exactly?
It's release 9.01.
I'm a little wary about changing gcc around for this because I'm not sure what I'm doing. Would it be enough merely to build it and then plop the library in /usr/lib, without 'installing' it?
Maybe it's time I bought Maple 10 anyway! ;)
