At the speed they are piling up its gonna be a pain in the a*** to
maintain it, I really do like the generic patch approach that we have
now. It makes maintaining as easy as pushing the frigging
$_patchlevel variable. But I'm a big fan neither of the fact that the
md5sums occupies more lines than the (actually verbose) build function
itself. We''ll see ...
