maybe if you uncomment the testing repository do a pacman -Syuf and choose no for the updates and do what you want and go back and comment again the testing repository works.

AFAIK no. package B will be upgraded to version from testing (if
[testing] is higher than [current] in pacman.conf).
What are the names of A, B and C? Or this is theoretical question only?
