"IEC958 Playback AC97-SPSA"
can't be muted
but "IEC958" is muted [off]
I tried to set the values via gnome-alsamixer. (Although I muted IEC958 in
alsamixer - it had a value in gnome-alsamixer..).
Could you fast explain me the "PCM"-Label?
I found, that I set's the base output and "master" or "headphone" are based on
this level.
But what's PCM in detail?
Is a high PCM and lower Master better than a low PCM and high Master?
And thank you for the link.
And again - I'll hear for strange sound and report!
