Hi Johannes. Me again... I remenber to have heard something about ACPI causing problems with audio in some laptops. Could you try to disable it via a kernel parameter? I think it is acpi=off in the kernel line of grub. If you use lilo, I think there is something similar in the lilo.conf. If using grub, you can change the line just for testing in the grub boot screen, without having to change grub configuration file. If this works, we can see how to work around this later.
