yep, i tried to de-install and reinstall many packages and that does
not help

Rob, what do those "..." in `/usr/share/fonts/X11 ...` mean ?

i guess, you want to copy all the fonts-directories from "/usr/share/
fonts/" to a newly created empty directory named "/usr/share/fonts/
X11"

right?
