This sounds overly complex and hard to maintain. If a user has more
than one web server running, they're probably doing something specific
and custom anyway, and thus know how to do this better than pacman
would.

As a side note, this was brought up on the developer's list a LONG
time ago (by myself) with regard to removing official support for
web-based packages (let's face it, punbb is a simply "tar xzf", it's
not hard to install) and all that fun stuff.

It seems the discussion petered out. The last I saw we were waiting to
see how "other distros do it" from Jason.  While I personally think
it's inappropriate to check other people's policies when you're
constructing your own, Jason, can you continue where we left off?
