This sounds overly complex and hard to maintain. If a user has more than one web server running, they're probably doing something specific and custom anyway, and thus know how to do this better than pacman would. As a side note, this was brought up on the developer's list a LONG time ago (by myself) with regard to removing official support for web-based packages (let's face it, punbb is a simply "tar xzf", it's not hard to install) and all that fun stuff. It seems the discussion petered out. The last I saw we were waiting to see how "other distros do it" from Jason. While I personally think it's inappropriate to check other people's policies when you're constructing your own, Jason, can you continue where we left off? _______________________________________________ arch mailing list arch@archlinux.org http://archlinux.org/mailman/listinfo/arch
