Hi guys,
I was looking up handling complex geometries on the ideas page which
was suggested to me.
It requires a good knowledge of OpenLayers and ExtJS.
To get familiar with the above concepts i played with Geoext which
uses OpenLayers and ExtJS to serve maps to the browser and edit maps from
the browser.
Here are some of the pics i collected playing with it :)
-->UK on
GeoExt<https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6_9NRe_9MiYaUtoLTJWNF9DTkk/edit>
-->Flat Map of
earth<https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6_9NRe_9MiYR1NoUzd3VG5TNTg/edit>
-->Zoomed image of
USA<https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6_9NRe_9MiYWlJVZTllS243WXM/edit>
I have also made a folder that summarizes my OpenLayers and ExtJS
Experimentation (This also contains layers setup in my browser)
---->GeExt Screenshots <http://goo.gl/fpPE2r>
I also made a collection of setting up arches using Django
administration
--->Using Django to setup Arches <http://goo.gl/H7mSia>
I would like the forum members to please share their thoughts and have
a discussion of handling complex Geometries on this thread.
Eagerly looking forward to it :)
Cheers :)
