Subject: Re: [Arches] Gephi graph issues

Ah, ok. The install was fine, but I found the issue. I was opening the files
through the dialog box in Gephi, and that was causing the problem. When I just
open the .gephi files through windows explorer, they open correctly in Gephi
and I can edit them.

Yes, on windows. Let me reinstall gephi. I had to get the JDK as described
here, https://forum.gephi.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3580&p=10712#p10712 so maybe
I messed something up along the way. I also wanted to double-check that the
files on the Arches site should work just fine... Thanks!

Adam,

We find that Gephi is most stable on Windows. Are you running it on Windows or
some other OS?

Hello all,

I'm beginning to work on graphs, and would like to use gephi. I downloaded the
CDS .gephi files available on the Arches website, in order to test them out and
try some modifications. However, when I open them in Gephi an error says that
they can't be opened, "IllegalArgumentException" - [255,255,255]. I can view
the graph, and move nodes, but that's it--can't edit them. I tried gephi 0.8.1
and 0.8.2. Thoughts? Am I missing something?

Hope all is well, looking forward to the release of 3.0!
