Thanks for that!,  I'm aware now that i can edit it in a text editor :)

I reinstalled Python and good news!  it seems that it successfully run the 
functools, but... new problems arise....
The process has now stopped when accessing the file application.txt
This could be a admin permission issue since I am working College computer. 
But on the other hand I do have rights to change the content on other txt 
files such as orig-prefix while redirecting the Python path for the new 
one.
