Ah, yes, I recall having that issue in the past. I just found this list of good applications, http://alternativeto.net/software/notepad-plus-plus/?platform=mac, and Sublime (at the top of the list) is very popular. I started a thread on this forum a while ago to collect software suggestions, so if you find something that works really well for you, be sure to let everyone know!
