Hi Colin, try python manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8000
(You can shorted 0.0.0.0 to just 0 in my experience.) You should then be able to access through a browser at <your domain or ip>:8000, as long as port 8000 is open. The message you see about settings is referring to my_project/settings.py. my_project.settings refers to that file as an imported python module, not as a "file" per se. In other words, it sounds like the dev server is working properly.
