We do have a note in the tech docs: ArchivesSpace “officially” supports the version indicated in solrconfig.xml. That refers to a version that is used for development and tested between release cycles.
https://github.com/archivesspace/archivesspace/blob/master/solr/solrconfig.xml#L7 Currently 8.10, probably should be bumped to 8.11. As far as I can tell ArchivesSpace won't run with Solr 9 yet. ________________________________ From: archivesspace_users_group-boun...@lyralists.lyrasis.org <archivesspace_users_group-boun...@lyralists.lyrasis.org> on behalf of Jesse Martinez <jesse.marti...@bc.edu> Sent: Friday, November 4, 2022 10:05 AM To: Archivesspace Users Group <archivesspace_users_group@lyralists.lyrasis.org> Subject: Re: [Archivesspace_Users_Group] AWS/Linux/Solr Hi Kyle, As a complete aside, I would strongly recommend you use the most recent version of Solr in the 8.x series, which is 8.11.2. There are some nasty vulnerabilities in the 8.10.x releases. I'll make a note to ping the ASpace documentation team to update the tech-docs pages. It looks like you need to give the bin/solr script execute permissions: chmod +x /opt/solr-8.10.0/bin/solr Hope that helps, p _______________________________________________ Archivesspace_Users_Group mailing list Archivesspace_Users_Group@lyralists.lyrasis.org<mailto:Archivesspace_Users_Group@lyralists.lyrasis.org> http://lyralists.lyrasis.org/mailman/listinfo/archivesspace_users_group -- Jesse Martinez Senior Library Applications Developer O'Neill Library, Boston College jesse.marti...@bc.edu<mailto:jesse.marti...@bc.edu> 617-552-2509 he/him/his
