The ARIN Board of Trustees adopted Bylaws changes at its meeting on 16 May 2014.

The changes include streamlining text and shifts defining the composition of the Nominating Committee (Nom Com) to the NomCom Charter for ARIN elections. This change will be in effect for the upcoming 2014 election cycle. The Board also updated the bylaws to stipulate a number of sections of the bylaws that can not be changed without community consultation. These include changes to ARIN's purpose, mission, and methodology (Article II, sec. 1 & 2), as well as the process to remove of elected officials (Article VI, sec. 6) and voting and reporting results of elections (Article VIII, sec. 4).
