In the spirit of offering constructive feedback, I would like to describe what I would like to see at ARIN Public Policy meetings. Broadly, the purpose of the Public Policy Meetings is to discuss policy and policy proposals. The purpose of the Members Meeting is to provide the Members with information about the operation of the organization, especially as it will help guide governance, including elections. 9:00 - 9:30 Preamble. Welcome, Code of Conduct, fire exits, and agenda 9:30 - 10:30 Discussion of Policy Proposals 10:30 - 11:00 Break 11:00 - 12:20 Discussion of Policy Proposals 12:20 - 1:30 Lunch 1:30 - 3:00 Discussion of Policy Proposals 3:00 - 3:30 Break 3:30 - 4:00 Policy Implementation and Experience Report Any other business can be added at or after 4:00pm. That might include reports from the NRO, NANOG, AC Committee reports, or other items of community interest. Compare to https://arin.swoogo.com/arin54/agenda
Anything that is related to organizational governance or is just for members should be addressed in the Members Meeting. That would include: Candidate PresentationsBoard ReportFinancial ReportBoard Committee ReportsAnd of course, department reports. I think this organization will better align the work in each meeting with the purpose of the meeting. Lee
