ACSP Suggestion 2026.6: Add Optional Flags for ROA Creation Notifications
https://www.arin.net/participate/community/acsp/suggestions/2026/2026-06/

Author: Tom Fantacone
Submitted On: 23 April 2026

Description: Optional flags for notification creation during ROA creation,
modification and removal

Value to Community:

Currently an ARIN notification (and email notification) is sent to all POCs
when an ROA is removed, but not when one is created or modified. There are
times when it’s desirable for all POCs to be notified during ROA creation or
modification.

Likewise, there are many times when all POCs don’t need to be notified on ROA
removal, and they have to login to ARIN online frequently just to see that
notification. Optional flags on each ROA change (and perhaps a global default
setting per ARIN online account) would be helpful.

Note, this is similar to the existing suggestion 2025.6, “Disable Option for
Bulk ROA Removal Notifications” which would also be helpful, but this goes a
step further in user control and doesn’t just apply to Bulk removals.

ARIN Comment:

Thank you for your suggestion, numbered 2026.6 upon confirmed receipt,
requesting that ARIN add optional flags for ROA creation notifications.

We agree that the suggestion to allow for configuration of the notifications
for ROA creations would permit a more streamlined and customizable experience
for users of ARIN’s RPKI services. As noted in your suggestion, this would be
an enhancement to the feature request in suggestion 2025.6: Disable Option for
Bulk ROA Removal Notifications. Your suggested enhancements have been grouped
with other pending ROA notification improvements for future development.

Your suggestion has been referred to our internal process for prioritization
and implementation planning and is now closed. Thank you for participating in
ARIN’s Consultation and Suggestion Process.

Regards,

American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN)
