Hello! I own two ARM64 laptops, a ThinkPad X13s and an M1 MacBook Air. The install78.img would not boot on either, so I used the miniroot image with another USB to hold the filesets.
After installing 7.8 on the MacBook and installing manually installing the firmware, I noticed that it was still looking for a missing wifi firmware image. So, I mounted the Asahi installer created EFI partition and manually extracted the missing firmware from firmware.tar The installation successfully loaded the firmware and seemed to recognize the MAC address. However, I couldn't ping anything. I thought maybe updating to the 7.9 bêta would fix this. First thing I noticed was that install79.img *did* boot on both machines. However, it did not solve the wifi issue on the M1 MacBook Air. The wifi works on the other machine, so I can confirm it is not an issue with how my hostname file is configured. Has anybody else run into this issue? Are there any potential solutions? Thank you all very much!!
