actually zikr means "mention". but it is not used in the same sense in the song zikr by arr in bose. in urdu, to do zikr means to take allahs name again and again such that one can feel His mighty presence. this phenomenon is also seen in some hindu cultures where women sit in front of some idol , typically with flowing hair and singing and moving in the tune. it is seen in a lot of movies etc.
