mst of them were dealing with a unique subjuect which most of the film makers wud never do...and also look at the directors..all world class like shaym benegal,mani ratnam,aushutosh gowareiker...
These are type of film on which it will be spoke about in future not todays masala films like zeher,barsaat bla bla bla
These films will be admired in future and we shud be happy that our a.r rahman's name is associated..
3 films that deserved to be flopped were lakeer,tezeeb and Dil ne jise aapna kaha...
and regarding the tamil films...
Baba-tune composed from londan via internet,so songs werent upto ark and the story was also a crap
Udhaya- released after 3 or 4 years...who will have intrest in these films when vijay is liked in his roles in ghillie,maduraey,tirupaachi..
Parasuram--i dono mush abt this film but i came very longtime back...
Kangalal Kaidhu Sei-2 new comers and a thriller story badly directed...
E20U18-The songs were good,but the movie is slow....a great high point of this movie is viveks comedy
Aayitha Ezhuth--this movie is not a flop in tamil...it ran for
100days and is a semi-hit
Boys--a.r rahman's one of best album...but due to vulgarity in the movie the tamil audience didnt like it..but a great and hnest attempt by shankar...unfortunately this was the last film of the comb ARR-Shankar
NEW--he he....my all time fav.movie along with swades....awesome movie...i liked it very much...
NEW was not a moderate success but a huge success...it featured in number 4th position in rediff.com and featured in top10 in all the countdowns considering so great flims that year like ghille,autograph,manmadhan,7/G,M.Kumaran and more...
so i feel this is mere coincidence for a.r rahman...
i feel its time for arr movies to be a hit in both hindi and tamil...
