In Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, the song "Thee Kuruvai" is one of the master piece of ARR I would say. I don't know how many people have listened to it. But just as you said the Picturisation was so pathetic & ridiculous that it made people think there is no life in the song or there was no music. The music in tune with Harini's voice was just undoubtedly Sensational. Do listen to it if not. Same holds good in the case of Manmatha Maasam (Parthale Paravasam). The music in-with Shankar Mahadevan and NithyaShree was another Master piece of his. The picturisation was bad, there were dialogues in between the song, the full song was not shot. Ultimately, most of them would not have bothered about it. No justice at all. I repeat there are lots more. I really want to know how Rahman felt after he finished the above two songs.
