I think AR Rahman had stated in an interview for rediff that he used Ismail darbar's tune from kisna in the English song for the same movie, and it was with the permission from the director.
And even our boss praised this Ismail Darbar for creating genuine music. But, in contrary to that, Ismail darbar said in the interview that he consider himself far better than AR Rahman! that was the funniest part. he was saying he created great music which were better than his our boss' dil se, lagaan and taal infact, i was a fan of Ismail darbar until that moment, after i read the interview, i have even stopped listening to his songs.
