one is conscious inspiration, well thought out and planned. second could be inspiration without even knowing the source ourselves. for eg. that jeans song whose 1st line sounds like 'o mere sona re'. i read in a post here, that when ARR was asked about it, he said its a co-incidence. but the fact is that there is similarity in notes. which for me means that when one's brain is the kinds that is pre- occupied with musical notes most of our days and nights, one wouldnt even realize the starting point of our creativity. neither is it important for the listeners. so when stylegamer and pankaj kakkar are talking about inspiration, are u talking about consciously taking a tune, and coming up with something new? sometimes its just a different treatment like ARR does for his songs? (eg. swades and baba). bcos thats what your examples seem to point to. anyway, we know ARR doesnt need these tunes; i imagine, if he were born 2 or 3 thousand years ago, he would be probably one of those ppl who would be busy inventing ragas!
