My take on this issue is that people from Mahiram.com (who claim and have mentioned it prominently on the site that they're the official website for Water the movie) were the one's who leaked the Indian version of the tracks first. They merely streamed 56 kbps real audio files that was instantly picked by Uyirvani and from there on it reached everywhere including Ritchie Street in Chennai, SP Road in B'lore and that Trivandrum street someone mentioned earlier. But all that is mp3s converted from poor quality real audio files.
My guess is that this is the actual Indian version planned for the countries barred from selling the Sarabande edition (meant for markets where Mychael Danna is a popular name). Dunno why/ how Mahiram.com got hold of this version, but missing a gem of a song like Bangri marori would be a MEGA loss to the OST, at least in India. I'm sure no music label worth its name would want to add only the ARR credited pieces in the Sarabande-edition of the soundtrack and release it in India ignoring Bangri marori, more so considering the fact that people have already heard it. Finally, I feel its just a matter of time before someone takes the decision to do a theatrical release of the movie - we've far more so- called delicate content movies releasing these days (even though Black Friday is yet to see a release!) that Water might not be that topical an issue anymore. If that decision is taken, nothing could stop the release of the OST since that would be the first point of the movie's promotion.
