In the past couple of years ARR has been using vocals as a textural/instrumental element.
AE/Yuva- Dol Dol vocals by Shaheen Badar. That broken-up effect (I don't know what its called) is pretty damn cool. At some points it doesn't even sound like a voice. KKS- Theekuruvinil also uses that effect. Aa Aah- Anbe Aaruyire has that ghostly "neengal illamal naan inge illai illai" at the very end, and it has a floating, spacey effect. RDB- Rubaroo: The occasional echoing of the lines with that distorted voice. IMO this does not sound very good, but not all of ARR's experimentation will be successful. The engineering in RDB sounds off to me. I can't put my finger on it, but it doesn't sound as good as it should. Maybe its my ears? :) ------------------------ Yahoo!
