Sridevi and her husband Boney Kapoor are very much in the film business still. Boney Kapoor is a film financier, like his father before him, and has financed many of brother Anil Kapoor's films. Now Anil and Sridevi help out producers in distress, producers who have half-completed films and have run out of finances. Anil-Sridevi first study the antecedents of the film makers, the producer, director, music-director, stars, their track-records, present popularity, projected saleability, and so on.
The view the completed portion of the movie and decide if they want to invest any more funds, revive the movie (which would have otherwise never seen the light of day, and earn a big profit. Truly a win-win situation for all! One such movie which caught their attention is Ajith's Godfather. Sridevi is convinced of the star value of Godfather with Ajith and Asin in the lead, direction by K.S. Ravikumar and music by A.R. Rahman. With Paramasivan turning out to be a hit, Sridevi's confidence is further boosted. Sridevi has always maintained a low profile and does not want any publicity for this godmother act of hers!
