Hii
Gr8 2 notice such details...ARR's not only master of melody but has intricate
knowledge about taal. Very few must have noticed he's compsed "Roshan hui raat"
from Sapnay in a 5-beat metre (taka takita) & in that too there r some portions
where the song goes off-beat n returns to the 'sum'. Another master piece is
the 1st interlude of "Jiya jale". The entire song goes in 2/4-metre (8)..but
in the interlude he xperiments with diff taal structres fom 6/8 to 5/8 n so.
Also "Adhisayam" from Paarthale Paravasam...gosh! Thats one helluva song in
terms of taal. 7/8,5/8,6/8...the meter keeps on changing...n u actually hv to
concentrate n listen to when it comes to the sum. Many such brilliant
compositions...but go unnoticed.
Rite now...its Guru all the way!
Thanx ARR
Swaps
