who said???

if rahman can compose for rajini, why not for vijay? both need 
commercially viable songs that strike a chord with the masses. the 
people have wrongly interpreted that vijay needs only gaana songs.

what vijay needs are songs that are fast, racy and peppy in nature. 
had he wanted only gaana songs, he wouldnt have come to rahman. he 
knows that guys like vidyasagar, manisharma and devi sri prasad can 
give him such songs. he has come to ar rahman only because he wants 
something different in the music of Azhagiya Thamizh Magan. And 
according to what Vijay has said in his recent interview, ATM is 
going to have something different than many of his recent movies.

so its nothing wrong for rahman to compose for ATM.
