Dear Gopal

Well summarised and I agree 100% about the tolerance factor.

Hopefully this topic shall now rest and give way to more constructive debate
about ARR's MUSIC.

Dare I say that in one of the promos I could hear drums as played in Taal's -
taal se taal mila - the fast version sang by Sukhwinder. Am I the only one to
hear ARR's ressonance in Saawariya's promos?

Waiting very patiently for Jodha Akbar - which I have absolutely no doubt
will be a craftman's work of art, blending the old with the new very neatly and
seamlessly.

If ARR's fans are snobs or not is up for debate, but the reaction to Saawariya
is certainly not coming out of insecurity. The music has received mixed reviews
with many known aficionados of music not taking to it kindly. I, for one,
thought Omkara was the best soundtrack of last year, even ahead of Rang De
Basanti and there is no shame in admitting it. ARR did so himself.

And everyone is free to choose what they want to listen to but I am certain
that ARR wouldn't put the craftsman ahead of the craft. ARR's music is still a
tiny drop in a mighty ocean.

may be we all put a filter in our emails so anything pertaining to other
musicians or music directors will be deleted :p. how about that ?

or even better.. a special kind of ear-plug that will filter out all kinds of
music except rahman's :)

Please kindly show me the words that I used in your reference to
"forcing my opinions on others". I expressed my opinions assertively,
but never did I once say that everyone has to agree with me or that
not liking Saawariya is wrong. I said that I have a hard time
understanding why some think it's boring, but I am understanding this
viewpoint more and more now and I accept it. The rest of the world
can hate this album and I will still love it and have no problem with
that. You guys are so insecure. And you are also incorrect in
assuming that Saawariya is the best album this year for me. I said it
was probably in my top 3.

Give it a rest guys. I want to move on.
