I rate Deepa Mehta 1, then Ashutosh Gowarikar 2 with a difference of 0.0000000000001%, and also with same margin Mani Ratnam at 3.
In short, all these three MOVIE directors have CLEAR-CUT ideas as to what they want as a finished product for their film and they get it from RAHMAN and in the same way, Rahman also enjoys working with these 3 MOVIE directors. So the results speak for themselves. And if I can remove GURU from Mani Ratnam's list and substitute it with KANNATHIL MUDHALMITTAL, then the order reverses, Mani comes 1'st, Ashutosh and Deepa come 2 & 3.
