Like a director brings out his creativity & narration in the form of
visuals in a movie a Music director also has the same but in the form
of music. This range differs to every persons vision be it a music
director or an audience. Every one has a style & signature to describe.
Suresh Kumar had done good analysis. In places where he says a bang is
not placed properly its debatable. especially when Akbar come to know
about the condition obliviously there is a thundering strike "how dare
somebody is throwing condition to an emperor". This was well felt by
Hritik's facial expression, he had to express the angst. I dont think
some other sound is much better than a bang.
About the high decibel orchestra when Akbar walks out of Jodha's tent,
how great can somebody express the majestic walk (my friend said that
this was the best walk ever done by a hero in a movie) now the
character is played by Hritik so it requires all the grandeur.
I too agree with Suresh for using the western orchestra styled music
for Mughal period. But, again its the matter of being contemporary. I
dont think somebody scored BGM for Akbar while he was alive so its all
left to the composers imagination and is his responsibility to keep
the audience glued to seat without yawning. Else a bit lengthier movie
like JA is sure to make somebody fall asleep without loud music.
The master piece as Suresh claims "in Lamhon ke daamn" being played in
slow tempo with sitar while the king Baramal announces about the next
heir & Jodha's engagement is definitely the work of a genius. It has
to be observed to say it was that song.
Sir ARR wish I have enough thought like you so that I decipher your
thoughts and write it to the world, This will be my prayer to the
Almighty Lord.
