yeah, Zubeida. BTW, I personally feel Luka Chhupi was much better and
appropriate considering the characters and situation.

I mentioned Zubeida especially from many songs of ARR-Lata because in
"so gaye hain", I was shocked to hear the aging in Lata's voice is such
a bad manner. BTW, same Zubaida's Pyara Sa Gaanv was much better. But in
So Gaye Hain solo, was it the same lady who had given "solah baras ki
bali umar ko salam" just some 20 years ago when she herself was some
50+? That was the first time when I had thought that the lady should
take a retirement.

Ha ha ha. The fact remains that he will hear neither to you nor to me.

But still, I feel that the music ears that he has, he must have realized
that the lady's voice is no more suitable for Another "Diya Jale" (which
was supppppperb), so our man is giving her religious prayers that you
wouldn't mind sounding aged (palanhare - that she thankfully did much
better) or an aged mom's grieving song at her youthful son's funeral
(Luka Chhupi).

btw, screen version of palanhare was different from the audio release
version, guess why? probably the entire song was planned on gracy singh
(when hero and heroine are on screen who gives songs to moms -- just
kidding) but then it might have got changed to be coming from Ammir's
mom and Gracy, guess why? We would never know the reason for that switch.

Another of my statement that would be hated by us fans:

I feel that In Luka Chhupi, it was ARR's voice that sounded bad -
according to his previous renderings. ARR sounded much more aged in Luka
Chhupi with a voice that was not at all suitable for a 25 or so years
old on-screen Madhvan. May be ARR should also sing more of religious
prayers now, appropriate for his 40+ voice.

Summing up:

ARR's best female singer - Lata in Jiya Jale
ARR's worst female singer - Lata in So Gaye Hain
